Waterproofing Integrity has conducted Electronic Leak Detection (ELD), Ultrasonic Thickness Testing and Adhesion Testing to identify the performance characteristics of the waterproofing system lining the pools during construction stage of the Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre in Zetland.
This architecturally designed public facility will is a combination of pool designs including,
- 50m heated outdoor pool set within a larger, irregular shaped ‘beach pool’.
- 25m heated indoor program pool.
- Indoor leisure pool.
- Heated hydrotherapy pool.
The quantitative data provided by these tests allowed the head contractor to analyse the standard to waterproofing being delivered to the project and make changes as needed to ensure the required quality target was achieved.
