Why Victoria’s Rollout Is Everyone’s Problem

Victoria adopted NCC 2025 on 1 May 2026, no lengthy transition, no soft launch. State-based variations dropped from 115 to 60, but F1P1 and below-ground waterproofing requirements are tighter, not looser.

If you’re building in NSW or Queensland, you have until 1 May 2027. That sounds like time until you realise design decisions made today are what get tested against the new code tomorrow.

This session is a working preview of what’s already live in one state, and coming to yours.

  • What’s actually changed for F1P1 and below-ground waterproofing
  • What Victoria’s rollout tells NSW/QLD practitioners about what’s coming
  • Where the Deemed-to-Satisfy pathway leaves you exposed
  • Live Q&A with the presenters

What You Will Learn

  • The national picture how NCC 2025 adoption differs across Victoria, NSW, Queensland, WA, and the NT
  • Victoria’s rollout in detail what changed, what the Section 10(2) transition exemption actually covers, and what practitioners got wrong in the first few months
  • What changed for waterproofing F1P1 and below-ground requirements, explained without the jargon
  • The DtS Gap why passing the Deemed-to-Satisfy pathway doesn’t mean a project is actually compliant
  • How to prepare practical steps for projects currently in design, regardless of which state you’re in
  • Live Q&A bring your questions for Brad and Anthony

Common Questions

Is this only relevant if I'm building in Victoria?

No, the session covers Victoria's rollout as a preview of what NSW, QLD, and other states can expect.

Is Waterproofing Integrity a waterproofing contractor?

No, Waterproofing Integrity is an independent waterproofing advisor. We diagnose, test, specify, and verify, but we don't install waterproofing products, and we have no commercial relationship with any contractor or supplier. The physical work is always carried out by a contractor of your choosing. So our recommendations are based purely on what's right for your building, not on protecting a supply chain.

Who should attend?

Builders and developers with projects in design or early construction stages. Certifiers assessing compliance under DtS or Performance Solutions. Anyone operating across Victoria and NSW/QLD who needs to manage two code editions at once.

Will I receive a CPD certificate?

Yes. A personalised certificate covering 1 hour (1 CPD point) of structured learning is emailed to you.
